An extremely rare example of the wartime SS officers white summer style tunic
Price: £2250 - $3950
This tunic was brought back to England in 1945 by a British soldier. The tunic was later sold to the well known militaria dealer Chris Farlowe, by which time the insignia was stripped from it and the tunic placed for sale in its stripped state. Acquired by ULRIC of ENGLAND in the late 1970s, it was always hoped that the insignia would come up for sale again so the tunic could be completed. Having now owned this tunic for three decades it still remains stripped and it is now time for it to be given a new home.
The tunic is of superb quality and is fully lined to the inside. Insignia would have consisted of a pair of epaulettes, detachable. Pair of collar patches, detachable, and a sleeve eagle/swastika. The tunic has loops for three decorations and a long ribbon bar and all the nickle-silver pebble finished buttons are identically RZM marked. The tunic has survived in overall excellent condition and would serve as an excellent example of this very rare pattern tunic, for the specialist SS collector. An excellent example
of this tunic in wear can be seen in the Bender publication, Uniforms & Organisation of the Waffen-SS Volume 1, page 42.
